Unbelievable Yak Armageddon


I'm not posting screenshots or anything of the sort today, because I don't want to give away too much regarding what I've done so far. However, I have just finished making the eighty-ninth map for Omnia's introduction, which means I only have four more areas left to map for this segment. Two are large, one is medium-sized and one is relatively small, so I'd say that within the next few weeks, or maybe the end of the month, the introduction maps will be finished.

Once I'm finished with these maps, I'll be working on writing, which will slow progress down a bit. Not because I don't keep a document containing things I've written for Omnia previously, but because it is going to be a very lengthy. Naturally, I will be posting lore previews and character profiles at that time.

Afterward, I'll be doing the database work. I'm saving music and sound purchases and implementation for last. Once all of that is done, I will be doing my preliminary playthrough, fixing the bugs that I find and running a private/closed playtest.

It's extremely strange to say that if progress continues as quickly as it has so far, I expect to have a public demo no later than toward the end of October. Anything can change and slow things down, of course, considering how weird and unpredicatble life can be. But that's what I'm aiming for, if nothing else.
