Pretty Big Round Of Updates

As of today (3/26/2024) all one hundred twenty maps necessary for Omnia's demo and introduction have been finished. This includes going back over some of them to add additional shadows, lighting and other visual effects.

Yesterday, I went through and gave all two hundred NPCs unique names and did a test with someone I know in real life to make sure those names are all pronouncable, since they are mostly human names.

I do realize the name test might not seem like a huge deal for a dark fantasy game, but I wanted to make sure that someone who isn't overly acquainted with fantasy wouldn't stumble over them too much.

Today, I will begin working on character "cards" for everyone that the players will recruit to their party, making a warning screen and droping some other bits of world lore, along with updating this page with new screenshots and the like!

I am estimating that there are going to be at least a few hundred thousand words written for the introduction, including all of the flavor text-- and that writing will start tonight!

It is still really crazy (to me, at least) to think I started working on Omnia in January and I've already come this far. And that includes taking every payday off in order to handle things in real life.

I have also implemented a few things that I don't consider to be features or mechanics, but are just little additions that add something small to Omnia. I will stop being so damned cryptic in my next update, which will be much longer and hopefully more interesting than this one.
