Now That My Weather Has Calmed Down

Due to multiple tornado watches, severe thunderstorms and my power going out twice last week, I was not able to work on Omnia as much as I had wanted to. It's a damn shame, but I've never learned how to control or manipulate the weather: tornado season has started early and this shit's not fun.

Next week's going to be a pain in the ass, too, unless something breaks: Monday - Thursday so far, they're predicting heavy thunderstorms and naturally, because of where I live, that could easily become tornado watches and warnings. This kind of shit usually calms down around August-September every year.

I'm kind of wondering, though, with tornado season happening early, if the summer monsoon will hit or not-- and if it does, what it might bring.

I have also been dealing with some bullshit hardware failure:  after reinstalling Windows, I still have a pair of one-pixel-wide lines that run down the righthand side of my monitor. As long as I do not turn my desktop off, everything's okay for now. If I have to shut it down, it's hard to get it to come back on (the screen flashes purple and I have to keep manually rebooting it.)

There's been other shit going on in real life as well, but that's neither here nor there and isn't something I can't handle without bitching.

NOW! Onto much better things:

Today, I have finally finished writing all of the flavor text (Descriptions and in-game lore) for everything that can be interacted with in all hundred and seventy-two maps of Omnia's introduction, which has brought me up to forty pages so far. I have also written two hundred and twelve words of the main plot an hour ago. (Today's writing total is five pages + 212 words.)

I will be writing more tomorrow, once I put my chainsaw together and go tackle this damned Evil Dead tree that's growing in my front yard. (It's not the rape tree. It's just an extremely irritating bush that constantly snags my hair and clothing when I walk past it-- and I'm allergic to its leaves. Any time I touch them, I itch severely. So, this bush has to come down.)

I have also once again updated some of Omnia's graphics. One more time, it's little things that I'm not sure if too many people will notice or care about, but I do. I've got some new trees and plants, which the below screenshot will show. Once I've got some more extra money, I'll be seriously updating the graphics while I continue to write ^.^

Yes, I know there's a guy in the tree there. I haven't fixed my tileset passability yet; that's the last thing I worry about when I'm working on something.
